Join us for an evening with Dr. Sharon Fireman, Head of BINA – Translational Research & Innovation at the Weizmann Institute of Science, for an inside look at how promising scientific discoveries make the journey from science to startup.

Featuring Dr. Sharon Fireman

Dr. Fireman brings more than 15 years of experience across the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, specializing in R&D management, business development, innovation, and commercialization.

Before joining Weizmann, she held leadership positions at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, where she managed drug development projects for the U.S. and European markets and later served as Corporate Development Director at RISE, Teva’s venture innovation unit. She also served as Executive Director of Business Development at a biotech accelerator.

Today, Dr. Fireman leads BINA (Bridge, Innovate, Nurture and Advance), Weizmann’s translational science unit. BINA works with scientists to identify promising discoveries and help move them toward technology transfer, industry partnerships, commercialization, and the creation of new companies.

Since its launch, BINA has supported and mentored 81 projects, with 19 technologies transferred to Yeda, Weizmann’s technology-transfer arm, and 9 startup launches or licensing deals.
