AI for Science has arrived. The hard questions are just beginning.

❓How far can the AI scientist go?

❓What becomes of the human scientist?

❓And how do we protect science along the way?

AIAS+ (AI Advancing Science & Society) is an annual symposium hosted by the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute. In 2026, the symposium returns for its second edition, bringing together more than 100 leading scientists, AI developers and investors, including a 2026 Nobel laureate, a Turing Award winner and Fields Medalists. The program includes talks, workshops, and discussions on how AI can help scientists make new discoveries.

For Scientists & Researchers

Where does AI fall short in your research, and what would you want it to do next? Bring your questions about reliability, scientific judgment and the scientist’s evolving role. Exchange perspectives with people building AI and those putting it to work in science.

For Founders & Builders

What stands between a promising AI demo and a tool scientists can rely on? Bring your product, evidence and open questions. Explore real research needs and connect with scientists, fellow founders and investors through lunchtime conversations and evening gatherings.

Startups at any stage are welcome. You don’t need a mature product or a deep research background to join the discussion.

Bring your team. Get your work seen.

Bring up to two collaborators free with your paid registration, subject to capacity.

Get your startup featured online, subject to a light relevance check.
