Grid City is a project by MILER RUNNING to explore the design, architecture and planning of New York City through running. Each month features a new topic, route and subject-matter guide who leads the group’s run and education.
This month will be led by Matthew Bianco-Splann (SHoP Architects) and will explore the Gargoyles and Grotesques of Lower Manhattan and hunt the fantastical creatures hiding in plain sight on some of the city’s historic façades, from Gothic Revival ornamentation to the soaring skyscrapers of the early 20th century.
Easy +/- 5-mile run followed by coffee and pastries. Bag check available. Route available on Strava.
