Own Your Signal: How does a personal brand build trust and presence?

ASN along with IndCham supported by Embassy of India, Jakarta invites you for a 90-minute working session on Leadership Branding and LinkedIn.Note: Please bring a laptop.Description

Own Your Signal is a hands-on workshop, led by Karn Malhotra of Humanly, for senior leaders, founders and consultants whose expertise is real and mostly invisible outside the rooms they already sit in. Most people ask two questions about their presence online. Which platform, and which format?

Very few ask the third, which decides the other two: What am I actually saying about myself?

There's no shortage of help getting active on LinkedIn. Swipe files, AI prompts and skills, hours of videos, a feed full of LinkedIn bros. Most of it covers the what and the how. Very little touches the why.

Simon Sinek famously argued - the why is the question to answer first, for yourself. Once it's clear to you, it becomes clear to the people you want to reach, whether that's a client, a buyer or an investor.

In this workshop, over 90 minutes you will:

Learn the five-stage framework every signal passes through - and how to apply it for your next job role, investor conversation or client outreach

Get a crash course in the tactics: your positioning statement, content pillars, formats, the algorithm, engagement and automations

Write a positioning line, a LinkedIn post, or both, from your own experience

See your piece scored live on screen, and why it works or doesn't

Bring your questions to an open Q&A

We read your entire public footprint (linkedin, websites, articles, reports, podcast links etc), score it on eight parameters, and set it beside someone you admire. You see where you lead, what is missing, and the specific changes that close the gap.About Our SpeakerKarn Malhotra has spent more than two decades closing the gap between what people know and what the world sees of them.

In 2004 he founded Exit Design, a B2B branding firm that worked with organisations including 3M, Decathlon, Accenture and Tata Motors over 17 years with a core focus on building trust narratives in B2B communication. In 2015 he built Outlined, an AI design automation company that pitched at Web Summit, earned industry recognition and early customers, and taught him hard lessons in positioning and market education. He then moved to the client side as Head of Marketing at venture-backed Talent500 and Neol, working closely with founders and leadership to align brand with business outcomes.

Today, through Humanly, Karn helps founders and leaders build personal narratives that earn trust with the people who matter most. He also runs Poai, an AI community in Goa, and is India Lead for Asia Startup Network, connecting founders and investors across Southeast Asia.
