My wife Kay and I host The Business Club six evenings a year at The Bond on Camelback. Our next night is Wednesday, November 18.
The room is business owners, along with the operators, bankers, and advisors who back them and paper their deals.
You are our guest for the evening. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks are on us
This evening food is catered by Arcadia Farms of Scottsdale.
There is one rule on the floor: business gets done here, and nobody gets treated like a lead. If you come alone, find me when you walk in and I will introduce you to a couple of people you should know.
Deb Shapiro, at 6:40
Your next big call depends on one person saying yes. The banker. The seller. The hire you cannot lose. The customer you are about to raise prices on.
Deb has spent almost 20 years preparing speakers and executives for high-stakes rooms. A talk to a room and a call with your banker are the same job. On the 18th, she shows you how to be the one they say yes to:
See what is getting in your way. Spot how your own view of a business problem may be limiting your results.
See what is getting in theirs. Use that same lens to understand and move the person you need to reach.
Put it to work. Apply both to a real decision in front of you right now.
Bring one name: the person whose yes you need most in the next 90 days. You will work through it in your seat. Nobody gets called on.
I know Deb well. She has been in our room several times, and last year I hired her to help me with my own talk.
The Evening
6:00 Doors open. Grab dinner and a drink. Music is on and the room is talking.
6:30 I open the night.
6:40 Deb Shapiro, followed by your questions.
7:30 Intentional Networking
7:45 Back to the room. Home by nine.
Where to Go
The Bond, 3200 E Camelback Rd, Suite 130. Come in through the main entrance on Camelback. Security at the front desk knows about the night. Park in the garage on the north side. It is free after five.
Put your name down and I will hold you a seat.
Because we print your name badge and plan food around the exact list, only claim a seat if you plan to be in the room. If something comes up, just let me know ahead of time so we can give the seat to someone else.
