Pogonip BioBlitz - Nov 1st 2026

A BioBlitz is an event where people photograph and record as many species as they can at a specific time and location. Anyone can participate and contribute even if you have no prior experience with anything like this! The data collected can be useful for scientists in monitoring biodiversity. It's a fun way to familiarize and de-alienate ourselves from our local ecosystems that make our home what it is.This event is hosted by a local iNaturalist ambassador, and we will be using iNaturalist to log our observations. If you don't have iNat we will be going over how to download it and use it, but also feel free to download it and create an account beforehand.https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/pogonip-fall-bioblitz-2026
