Air defense used to be a job only governments could do. Ukraine’s drone war changed that. Hundreds of cheap attack drones can now cross the sky in a single night, and in 2026 drones reportedly cost Amazon $150M when they hit its data centres in the GCC. Protecting the sky is becoming infrastructure that every critical site will need, and the companies that build it are only now being founded.

Nazarii Hrechanyk spent years investing in deep tech as a Director at TRON, a $30B blockchain network. Then a Shahed drone struck 500 metres from his father’s home, and he left investing to build. His team has delivered thousands of drones to Ukraine’s front line. Today he is building the network that protects the sky over data centres: reusable, autonomous drones that catch hostile drones in nets, with no explosives and nothing falling on the site.

You’ll hear:

What Ukraine’s drone war teaches founders about building fast under pressure

Why missiles can’t stop cheap drones, and what can

Why private air defense is the next big infrastructure category

How we could protect the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles from drones

For students, founders, engineers and investors interested in defense tech and the companies that will define it.
