Session 1 - Embodiment: What the body knows before your mind does
With Deren Sanivar, Movement and Community Facilitator
We spend a lot of time thinking things through, weighing our options, trying to make the right decisions. With our heads.
But our bodies are constantly responding to the world around us, often before we even notice. We lean towards some people, pull away from others, or get a feeling about something we can't quite explain.
Is that intuition? And how can we become more aware of these signals?
In this SPARK Clubhouse, we'll explore intuition through movement and other practices that help us tune into what our bodies are telling us. Not to stop thinking, but to discover what else we might learn to listen to.
What does your body notice before your mind catches up?
Deren Sanivar
Deren moves themselves in lots of places, and like yours, their identity and the labels that come with it change depending on the environment. How do you stay grounded, true to yourself and connected with your body in all those different places?
Guided by Deren, through movement and through conversation, we will explore that together.
