Read in the Park - South Bay 📚
Bring your book and read with us! 📚 Read in the Park - South Bay is a growing community of readers who gather at Washington Park in Sunnyvale to read. We meet twice a month. 📚 How our events goPicture a stretch of grass in Washington Park, a scatter of blankets, and dozens of people quietly lost in their own books. We first read our own books, then break into small groups to get to know fellow readers and talk about what we're reading. Here are couple of pictures of how our events go! Come solo or bring a friend. Plenty of people show up alone. 📚 How the afternoon goes3:00–3:30 pm → Arrive, register with the hosts, find a spot, and settle in3:00–4:30 pm → Reading hour - arrive by 3 for the full 1.5 hours of reading4:30–5:30 pm → Conversation hour - small groups, swap book recs, get to know each other5:30–7:30 pm → Cafe hour - continue conversations at a local cafe nearby (Optional) 📚 What to bring→ Your current read (physical book, Kindle, or audiobook)→ A blanket or something to sit on→ A jacket - the park gets windy→ A snack or drink if you'd like 📚 Getting therePark is busy on weekends.
