Join us at Norrsken House for a practical introduction to the world of university spinouts and science-based startups.

We’ll explore what it takes to move promising research beyond the lab - from identifying commercial opportunities and building a founding team to navigating IP, raising funding and finding a path to market.

The evening combines a 101 on startups and the spinout journey with first-hand perspectives from researchers who have taken research from lab to commercialisation themselves.

Norrsken Launcher has developed and proven a hands-on model to back science-based founders: combining capital with close operational support to industrialise, commercialise and scale innovations.

You’ll hear from Prof. Janne Wallenius (founder of Blykalla), Dr. Jade Abir Bouledjouidja (founder of Renasens), and Prof. Agneta Richter-Dahlfors (founder of Richter Life Science) - three very different journeys from research to company-building with Launcher's support.

Expect short founder pitches, an open Q&A moderated by Dr. Craig Jantzen - nuclear scientist turned tech diplomat - food, drinks and plenty of time to connect with researchers, founders and investors.

Who this is for: Researchers, academics, PhD students and others curious about commercialising research, founding a company or joining a science-based startup.

This event is sponsored by Norrsken Launcher, KTH University and the British Embassy Stockholm.
