Welcome to Startups in Action — 2026 Edition
Startups in Action continues as a weekly, hands-on gathering for founders who are serious about turning ideas into real, viable companies.
Are you struggling to identify the right problem to solve?Stuck on product development or validation?Looking for accountability, traction, or a co-founder?Preparing to apply to an accelerator and want to improve your odds?Wondering whether you truly have what it takes to build a successful startup?
If you answered “yes” to any of these, we invite you to join us and take the next step in your entrepreneurial journey.
What Do Our Meetings Look Like?
Every week is intentionally different and highly practical. Sessions may include:

Pitch practice
Co-founder matching
Group Q&A and problem-solving
Founder hot seats
Guest speakers from the startup ecosystem
You are never required to present. You’re welcome to attend as an observer and to watch, learn, ask questions, and engage at your own pace.New founders and first-timers are always welcome.

Our goal is to make entrepreneurship more accessible, practical, and achievable by facilitating meaningful connections and delivering actionable support.
We exist to help founders in Seattle:
Overcome real obstacles
Pressure-test and refine their ideas
Build confidence through practice and feedback
Reach concrete milestones with community support
This is a space for learning by doing—together.
Presentation Structure
10–12 minutes for presentations
8–10 minutes for Q&A
Time is closely monitored to ensure fairness, focus, and high-quality feedback.
About the Space
Hosted at SURF Incubator, the oldest startup incubator in Washington State, this space has supported hundreds of founders.
From private offices, shared workstations, and multiple venues with sweeping city views to deep connections with VCs, angel investors, and the broader startup ecosystem, SURF offers an environment designed to support founders at every stage.
