New Earth Dialogues is a series of conversations exploring our collective future grounded in regeneration and abundance, of the Earth, of humanity, and of spirit. For this new chapter, we continue our partnership with Madame Architect, bringing together voices shaping the future of our built environment. Moderated by Julia Gamolina, our next conversation welcomes Kritika Kharbanda, Global Head of Sustainability at Henning Larsen, whose work focuses on turning environmental ambition into tangible, implementable solutions for architecture. At Henning Larsen, Kritika works across the global practice to advance impact-based architecture, looking closely at the decisions, materials, and systems that can meaningfully reduce the environmental footprint of what we build. With a Master's specializing in Energy and Environments from Harvard Graduate School of Design, she was also a Social Innovation Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School and has taught and lectured at Harvard, Columbia, MIT, and other institutions. Today, she serves on ULI New York's Climate and Sustainability Council and chairs the AIANY Building Science Committee. Together, Kritika and Julia will explore what it takes to move architecture toward decarbonization, from setting ambitious goals to making consequential choices at the earliest stages of design, and how we might rethink the relationship between the buildings we create and the environments they become part of.
