Here's the thing nobody tells you about grad school or working full time in NYC: you live in one of the most exciting cities in the world, and somehow your social life shrinks to your cohort, your lab, and whoever's in the library at 11 PM. So we're fixing that, one glass of wine at a time.
Why should you attend?
IRL events are having a moment for a reason: people want to find their people. But I have yet to find a space built for grad students and lifelong learners to come together for one simple reason: to socialize and build peer connections.
As a law student, I know all too well that it's easy to disappear into the library or study at home every night and tell yourself you'll be social after finals. But the people you'll want in your corner for the next decade are out there right now, probably also stuck in a library or office. Stepping out for 30 minutes - 1 hour is time well spent.
Come solo. Most people will. That's kinda the point. Swap numbers, follow each other on Instagram/TikTok, and leave with a coffee chat or workout meetup already on the calendar. Think of it as networking without the dread and burnout.
Who is this event for? Every grad student and/or life learner. Master's, PhD, law school, med school, MBA, and early/mid-career professionals are welcome.
The location will be provided upon approved RSVP. (SoHo, NYC)
