Many Hands, Happy Garden - Fall Spruce Up at the Library Garden

Join Love the Bulb for a Fall Garden Spruce Up Day in Freeman’s Library Garden at 3pm on Saturday, November 7th! We’ll be pruning, weeding, painting rocks, clearing paths, and doing general maintenance.

Love the Bulb started the garden at the Albany Bulb in 2016 by tucking some sticky monkeyflower and ceanothus into the concrete rubble on the former site of the Library built by residents of the Bulb. Thanks to the generous support of volunteers, donors and the Albany Community Foundation, we’ve continued adding to this California garden every year, growing it to include nearly 50 species and over 120 individual plants, art and sculptural seating. It’s a delight to see what thrives in the garden, and to observe all of the critters and humans who come out to enjoy the plants and scenery.
