Ever wonder what bitcoin would look and feel like if you could hold it in your hands? Im not talking about something that holds bitcoin, like a wallet or brass coin with the private key on the back. I am referring directly to the undefined value marked at each address.

On November 1st, one day after the anniversary of Satoshi's white paper, we will be showcasing the first materialized bitcoin artifact from the Bit-Alchemy collection.

Join us at Lawless Brewing Co for another conversation about this modern alchemy and how it reframes the ethics of technology. At the end of our talk, you will have the chance to transmute bitcoin into something physical.

Discussion Topic:

Innovation is always a two-way street. All the tools at our disposal and in our mind shape and direct our focus as much as they do the world around us.

For example, Bitcoin is a great way to measure value, facilitate exchange and archive art and resources. But the more we use machines to mediate trust the less we naturally trust each other. This trustless ledger, as result, makes every exchange a permanent record for a more suspicious public to scrutinize and potentially hold against you.

How does this two-way relationship work at the philosophical and spiritual level? Are Neo-Luddites right in saying that there is something inherently ethical or unethical in every technology? Or are the ethics purely based on its use?

In our talk we will examine these claims and ask how alchemical thinking can transform the way we relate to Bitcoin, AI and every invention we hope to manifest.

The art collection presented at this talk embodies my own personal struggle to give place to monetary technology within a consistent ethic and spiritual framework.

The Los Angeles Bitcoin Mint is holding two separate ways to collect an artifact from the collection: A Digital Private/Public Mint for the digital bitcoin artifacts and a Private Auction for the physical. Learn more about the collection and how you can participate in the post below:
