“How can we trust these people? There is blood between us.”
The writer Robin Yassin-Kassab heard that in Syria, and it became the title of his new book. The regime has fallen, and now the country has to find a way to rebuild. The people it turned against each other still have to live on the same street. Old scores and old suspicions are coming back out into the open.
The Blood Between Us draws on Robin’s first-hand reporting and interviews across the country after the fall of Assad. His book is full of these stories: Syrians working out who this new Syria is for, what to do with the past, and what kind of country gets built next.
Join us for an off-the-record, one-to-one conversation with Robin on November 12th. Just 35 seats: a rare chance to be in a room of people who actually care what happens next, asking Robin directly.

The conversation will be followed by a Q&A discussion.
Copies of Robin's book will be available for purchase on the night.
Doors will open at 6.45pm and the event will start at 7pm. There will be time for conversations and networking after the event.
