Imagining Otherwise: Shaping a Better Future Through Storytelling

In an increasingly complex and challenging world, we all need moments of escape: an invitation into a new world, a different story, or an alternative possibility. Yet great storytelling offers more than an escape from reality. It gives us the tools to imagine otherwise: to envision what could be, challenge what is, and rehearse the futures we want to create.

Film, and animation in particular, has a unique capacity to bring these possibilities to life. By creating worlds unconstrained by the limits of reality, animation can expand our collective imagination and inspire new ways of thinking about the future, grounded in values of care, innovation and equity. Beyond its cultural and creative influence, animation also presents a significant economic opportunity.

Join us for this fireside chat as we explore the power of film and animation to help us imagine different futures, build more equitable and caring societies, and unlock new opportunities.
