Join Give(a)Go and The Mill in Drogheda for a one-day hackathon on sustainability problems in energy, waste, food, transport and climate. Pick a problem you care about, build something that works with AI and tech, and demo it to the room at 5pm.

Give(a)Go is a community of builders, hackers and tinkerers from Dublin, and the creators of Dublin AI Week.

What to expect

Have fun and learn how to build with AI

Meet like-minded people, and maybe a co-founder

Hear about grants and funding for sustainability and community projects

Leave with a tested idea and a cool demo

Who it's for

Founders, developers, designers, students and anyone who cares about climate. You don't need a business idea, coding experience or sustainability know-how.

Come solo or bring a team of up to 4. If you're on your own, you can find teammates in the morning.

Project ideas

A few examples to get you thinking. We expect you to come up with your own creative ideas.

An agent that reads a café's supplier invoices and works out its real carbon footprint per coffee

A computer-vision model that spots contamination in recycling bins from a phone photo

A Boyne river digital twin that predicts flooding from sensor and weather data

An AI auditor that checks companies' green claims against their actual reports

Schedule

11:30 Welcome and kickoff

12:00 Hacking starts

13:00 Lunch

16:00 Hacking wraps

Other partners supporting the event: Skillnet Innovation Exchange, Local Enterprise Office Louth, Culvii and Coca-Cola Ireland.

Community sponsor

Wolfpack Digital is an award-winning product studio with teams in Dublin and Cluj-Napoca. It builds tech products for everyone from early-stage startups to global brands.

Join the community

Give(a)Go is a community of builders, hackers and tinkerers in Dublin. We run hands-on workshops and builder days, and we're the creators of Dublin AI Week.

P.S. The theme is a rough guide. If there's something else you really want to build, go for it. Building with AI and meeting good people is the point. Bring your laptop.

Places are limited and registration needs approval. Please only apply if you can stay the full day.
