Four Women: Climate, Class & Capacity-Building is an interdisciplinary storytelling workshop about how art shapes the ways we understand and respond to climate change.
Ni-ka Ford, Health & Scientific Illustrator, opens with a listening session of Nina Simone's "Four Women." Its four distinct voices offer a starting point for exploring whose experiences are seen, whose knowledge is believed and whose perspectives are missing from the climate conversation.
Participants will respond to guided prompts through writing, zine-making and drawing, with a rotating panel drawn from the group. Together, we'll consider what becomes possible when marginalized perspectives are centered.
Wellness tea, sweet tea and light snacks provided.
