Hey, how's it going? Coastal Cleanup at South Shores looks like it should be pretty interesting. Want me to help you organise around it?

Join us for a coastal cleanup at our adopted beach at South Shores, on Mission Bay. We’ll provide the supplies, but if you have a reusable water bottle, gloves, or a bucket, bring them along to help reduce the amount of waste we generate. See you there!

We will be set up under the gazebo with the blue roof near the beach (or nearby, if the gazebo has been reserved by another group). From east side of the parking lot, follow the sidewalk path. If you have any trouble finding us, call or text Jen at 619-572-1695.

Please note that dogs are not permitted on Mission Bay from 9am-4pm.

Parking: Make sure to park in the spaces designated for vehicles without trailers - SDPD does ticket!

Directions:
5 Freeway (North or South) – Exit Sea World Drive/Tecolote Canyon Dr. Turn onto Sea World Drive (right if coming from 5 North, left if coming from 5 South). Turn right onto South Shores Parkway. Turn right into the parking lot.

If you'd like to carpool or need a ride, or can offer a ride, please post in the comments.

Public Transportation - There are no bus or trolley stops within 0.5 mile of the location. The closest stops are at Sea World (9 bus, 0.7 mile walk) and Tecolate Transit Station(blue line, 1.3 mile walk).

Restrooms - Restrooms are available near the boat ramp, at the west end of the parking lot.

Accessibility - Paved paths are relatively flat and even. Wheelchair users and people with mobility limitations have successfully participated in this event in the past. The meeting point is roughly 0.2 mile (1000 ft) from the parking lot.
