This is a ~9 mile walk, to a pretty unique spot on Dartmoor
We'll set off from the Avon Dam/Shipley bridge car park & head up out onto the moor, picking up the old tramway, and following it all the way to Red lake, where we'll have lunch (& if anyone is mad enough to in October, it's a great place for a wild swim 🥶)
On the way back we'll follow the river Avon back crossing it via a clapper bridge, all the way back to the dam, and then join the tarmac touristy track back to the car park.
Note, there is no phone signal in the car park, so we won't be able to see any messages or last minute RSVPs, until we've set off and climbed up onto the moor, so extra important to keep RSVPs up to date!
The car park has limited space & fills up quickly after around 10am, so important to arrive early/promptly to this one & it
now also charges (cash or ringo) unfortunately ☹️
