This is the Meetup event for our September monthly social event. There are a number of confirmed attendees separately on our Facebook and Whatsapp group. Our events are primarily aimed at the LGBTQ+ community though anyone is welcome to attend. Chris (who led us on a hike in the Clwydian hills in June) and Raj (who gave us some top photography tips in April) are combining forces to lead a joint event. Join us for “Chester Walk with Photography”!! You probably get the gist 😉 It will be around 4-6km walking or so depending on the weather etc, and it’ll probably take around 3-4 hours or so. Bring your camera (fancy or phone cameras are all good) to get some early Autumnal shots of the various sights Chester has to offer along the route. Be prepared for the weather - it could well be rainy and cold at this time of year so check the forecast on the day, and bring comfortable shoes and waterproof / warm clothes etc as appropriate. We intend to stop for a picnic lunch, so bring something to eat and drink, although we will be passing the odd sandwich shop / cafe, so you can stock up then if you like. If it’s grim weather, we’ll probably want to escape inside to a cafe or pub instead. Meet outside the cafe (Fika+) in Grosvenor Park at 10:30am. The planned route is to then make our way to the Suspension bridge, around the Meadows, back along the river to the Old Dee Bridge, to Edgar’s Field Park, across Old Dee Bridge, then back via the Roman Gardens, Amphitheatre, St John the Baptist church and round the back to the ancient South Eastern Chapel, returning to Grosvenor Park. We look forward to an enjoyable day around Chester 😊
