AT point to point 11.5 mile hike - Rt 183 to Rt 645

This challenging point to point shuttle hike will set out from the Bethel Rd (183) state game lands parking area and head south on the AT, crossing over Rt 501 and ending at Rt 645. There will be a couple of viewpoints along the way. Expect rocky and uneven terrain in areas, as well as around 1600' of elevation gain and another 1600' of descent. Footwear with good traction and blaze orange hat and vest or jacket required since we will be passing alongside state gamelands. Poles or hiking stick recommended. Bring 2 L of water + electrolytes, snacks/trail lunch.

The goal is to complete this hike by 3pm and be back to our cars about 30 minutes after finishing.

Our start/meeting point is the state gamelands 110 parking lot on Rt 183, just south of where the trail crosses the highway.
