🥾🌲 Hike: Trofa PR1, Route of the Springs and Watermills (Covelas) 🌲🥾

☀️ A moderate 12 km loop through the Covelas countryside, with 230 m of elevation gain ⛰️. We'll follow rural paths and forest tracks through a big eucalyptus forest 🌿. On the way we'll pass:

🏞️ a panoramic viewpoint over Vala Naval

💧 a pond and the source of the Ribeira de Covelas

🏚️ the ruins of old watermills

🚆 Train at 10:23 to Portela, around €7–8 round trip 💶

🚶 Walk about 1.5 km from the station to the trailhead, then hike the loop (about 2.5 hours of walking, plus stops) ⏱️

🔁 Return train at 16:19 or 18:24, whichever suits the group
