Moonlight (2016/2026) Discussion (Note: Change in Film Selection)

Join us to talk about Barry Jenkins’ Moonlight, winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture and one of the most acclaimed films of the past decade. Following Chiron through three stages of his life, the film explores identity, sexuality, masculinity, family, vulnerability, and love through striking cinematography and three different actors portraying its central character.

Please watch Moonlight in advance and come ready to talk about it. If you’d like to see it with the group, there is a separate Meetup event for the 10th Anniversary Remastered theatrical release at AMC Dublin Village 18 on Wednesday, October 7 at 6:45 PM, with dinner at Revelry Tavern beforehand at 5:30 PM.
