Overnight: Possum Creek

Possum Creek is one of the more rugged and varied trails, including steep overlooks, deep river gorges, rock formations, and several waterfalls and a few creek crossings depending on the season.

This is an 8.8 miles round trip. We are hiking 2.4 miles to the campsite, and 4 miles round trip to the waterfall on Saturday. On Sunday, we are hiking 2.4 miles up hill to the trail head.

We will meet at the Retro Hughes Trail Head (Retro Hughes Rd, Graysville, TN 37338; N35 24.173 W85 11.021) at 10 AM central time. There may be no phone service at the trailhead.

This hike is for experienced backpackers familiar with the mileage and elevation change involved. This will be a "go at your own pace" hike, so come prepared with a map and an understanding of the route.
