Length: 2 miles
Hike Leader: Sophia
Meet at the Lilac Lane trailhead located at 7700 Lilac Lane, Simi Valley, 93063.
This hike features stunning panoramic views of the San Fernando Valley.
Wear sunscreen and long pants because the brush is thick and sticky. A light jacket or long-sleeved shirt is also recommended. Although we try to avoid poison oak, sometimes it is encountered. Wear sturdy hiking boots. A walking stick is preferred by some hikers. Bring plenty of water. A hat is also recommended.
Rain, red flag warnings, extreme heat of 90 degrees, and dense fog cancels the event.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are on leash. Please remember to bring enough water for your four-legged friend. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. This hike is appropriate for minors ages 12 years and older.
How to get to the Lilac Lane trailhead: Coming from the San Fernando Valley, take the 118 to the Rocky Peak exit, turn left and cross the freeway to Santa Susana Pass Road. Turn right and take Santa Susana Pass Road to Lilac Lane (the next intersection). Turn left and drive until you see the dirt parking lot with a brown park information kiosk. From Chatsworth take Topanga Canyon north to Santa Susana Pass Road and turn left. Drive until you reach Lilac Lane and turn left. Drive until you see the dirt parking lot with a brown park information kiosk.
