Starting @ 2PM with a 1 hour workshop with different Public Speaking exercises. Followed by a Fika at a nearby café in Gamla Stan. ☕️ 🥐

The session will be outdoors, please make sure to dress up to stay warm 🧥

1 HOW DOES THIS WORK?

Every Sunday we work on a Public Speaking skill related to your VOICE, your BODY or your MIND. We cover a wide range of topics such as Storytelling, Persuasion, Vocal Tone & Improv theater. There’s a different topic every week and a different leader facilitating the workshop.

A typical session is split into 2 parts, the 1st hour being « The Workshop » with exercices & the 2nd hour is « Stage time » which can be Individual speeches with feedback, Debates, Improvised Group scenes or storytelling in front of the audience.

In our club, we focus on mastering the tools, techniques, and best practices for delivering a powerful message - not debating the message itself. That's why we steer clear of politics and other potentially divisive topics, ensuring a respectful and inclusive space for everyone to grow as speakers.

We started in summer of 2016 & Our workshops are in English.

2 WHAT DO I NEED TO PREPARE BEFORE I COME?

No need to prepare anything, the only requirement is a big smile & positive energy 🥳

3 WHEN & WHERE?

Sundays 14.00 - 16.00.

Please Be there 5-10min earlier as the warmups & exercises start immediately at 2PM.

From September onwards, we will be indoors in a classroom at Folkuniversitet on the 5th floor at the left side of the building, room 514.

There is a code required to enter the university building and its 1471

4 DOES IT COST ANYTHING?

You’re welcome to try your first workshop for free. If you want to keep joining us, we require a small contribution to help us cover the costs of our Meetup-App subscription & the workshop room used during the year. (Our instructors are un-paid volunteers). Without your contributions, we can’t keep the Sundays fun 🥳

The contribution is only 100 SEK per semester, it’s mandatory & must be paid before joining your second workshop with us!

Please swish 100 SEK for the current (September -December) semester to Osama Ibrahim on 0700062129 with a message « Sunday Speaking Fee».

6 COMMUNITY RULES

⛔️ As we have limited spots, It’s important to update your attendance status to “Going or Not Going” before the event starts. Booking a spot without attending or changing the status will lead to a ban from the group.
