BYOB Nonfiction Book Club

No assigned books. No pressure to analyze. Just a cozy corner to share what you're reading, hear what others are loving, and let good conversation take it from there.
If you love nonfiction and believe a good chat can be as nourishing as a good book, you'll feel right at home. We're Oakville's only nonfiction book club, with members joining us from as far as Etobicoke, Hamilton, Milton, Mississauga, and Burlington!

When: First Friday of every month
Where: Bu Cafe & Market (77 Lakeshore Rd W, Oakville)
Time: 4:30 to 6:00 PM
Cost: $5 and RSVP on Meetup.
Come 10 minutes early to grab a coffee or tea and settle in. We start right at 4:30!

How to join

The $5 helps cover the venue and behind-the-scenes work. Anything extra is always appreciated, but never expected.
To save your spot, please RSVP here and send an e-transfer to [email protected] (Shin Young Park). Include your Meetup name in the message so I can match it to your RSVP. Fees are non-refundable, so please check your schedule first. Thank you!
Bi-yearly and yearly memberships are coming in the new year!

A small ask

If you RSVP but can't make it, please give us a heads-up so we can offer your seat to someone else. Without notice, we may not be able to hold a spot for you next time.
We're all thoughtful, kind humans, so let's look out for one another with care and respect.
