Norwich Group Sunday walk.

Pls note OUR GROUP DOES NOT REQUIRE bookings! Just turn up on the day!

Maggie will be leading this 11 mile walk from Loddon Church Plain Pay & Display car park, LEAVING PROMPTLY AT 10:00. Parking: 4 hours plus is £4.00 - car sharing is advisable. There is some street parking.
Parking machines require registrations and initial card recognition. Cards should then be tapped before leaving to verify payment.
A lovely walk along fields and forest tracks often following the Wherryman’s way and the River Yare. We’ll also see Yardley marina and windmill, Langley Abbey and its polo pitch.
Cautions: Be aware of some calm cows grazing along the riverbank
Quiz: see who’s first to spot the mushroom tree and the hidden fox?
Hope you enjoy! Registered assistance dogs only. Pls see our dog policy on our website, documents tab. Thank you.

Please car share as much as possible for all of our walks. Many thanks

Full directions & google map with exact location is enclosed.

A packed lunch and a drink will be required along with clothing and footwear suitable for walking in the countryside including for wet weather. Walking with a warm and friendly group of like-minded people who love to walk and chat.

NORWICH RAMBLERS is one of the many Ramblers groups in the country, and one of 10 groups in the Norfolk area. Only Norwich, Hike Norfolk & Legstretchers publish their walks on Meetup. The Norfolk Ramblers group walks are published in our printed newsletter which is sent to our members, and is also published in the national Ramblers website, where you can find the walks for the other groups.

This is the link: https://www.ramblers.org.uk/norfolk

Our group does not tend to use Meetup, so although there maybe very few people signing up for a walk on Meetup, our walks are very well attended.

Besides the meetup group, you will also need to join Ramblers if you would like to walk with any of the groups. Of course we welcome new members, so you could try any group up to 3 times before joining Ramblers. We would encourage you to join one of the local Ramblers group rather than the Area Ramblers, although with the membership you can walk with any group in the country, and you can change the group anytime. Further information about joining can be found here:
