Origins of Buddhism

Don leads a discussion on the origins of Buddhism including its history, philosophy, practice and whether any of its ideas are useful to secular people.

At AHC we call ourselves secular humanists because you will never hear anything supernatural promoted from the podium. AHC was founded on the principles of scientific naturalism and secular ethics, which commits us, on the one hand, to reason and evidence-based thinking, and, on the other, to compassion for our fellow human beings.
These commitments motivate us to oppose magical and wishful thinking and all forms of dogma, as well as to stand firmly against all forms of oppression.
