Build Your Own AI Chatbot: Hands-on RAG Workshop with Custodian Labs

Speaker - Sherry Feng
Sherry is an AI research scientist specialising in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and data privacy. Her experience spans startups, government, and international organisations. She is currently building AI solutions at Custodian Labs, focusing on making AI applications more accessible, practical, and privacy-conscious.

Description
Join CITA and Custodian Labs for a hands-on workshop exploring Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and how to build AI-powered chatbots.
We'll cover the fundamentals of LLMs, document processing, chunking, embeddings, and vector search before getting hands-on with the Custodian SDK to build your own RAG chatbot.
You'll also learn how to test your chatbot, handle common RAG challenges, and protect sensitive data using AI privacy controls.
No prior RAG experience required!

Bring your laptop and follow along using Google Colab—no installation needed.
By the end, you'll have a working AI chatbot project to showcase on GitHub and add to your CV!
