Creating with Light & Dark

As the days grow shorter and Helsinki prepares for the long winter darkness, I invite you to join me for a free, two hour workshop where we explore light and dark, where creativity becomes resilience.
Here in the North, we have this experience in a very real way - join me for ‘Creating with Light and Dark’, a space to play with these two forces - not as opposites, but as parts as natural rhythm.

Through collage, drawing, light movement and storytelling, you’ll:
-create your own symbol of light and dark
-share (or keep private) your reflections in a judgement-free space
-connect with others through creativity and art
-leave with a personal artifact to carry into the darker months

No artistic experience needed, come as you are, just bring your curiosity!

How to find us: At the end of the gallery hall near the café, turn right through the glass doors and head upstairs, Valo tila is through the first door on the right at the top of the stairs.

About the facilitator:
Giulia Lepori is an Italian sociologist and facilitator of creative practices.
Her research revolves around creativity as a practice of listening, transformation, and care. This journey led her to deepen her study of art therapy with a psychodynamic orientation, attending an annual program at the Fayles Foundation in Turin. She has facilitated workshops with adults, adolescents, and children, creating spaces where the creative process becomes an opportunity for relationship, imagination, and shared presence.
Since 2024, she's brought her practice to Helsinki, hosting workshops with MIITTI, Mieli Without Borders and at Ateneum.
