PEM does not organize guided-lecture style walks or hikes—there are plenty of those in Paris, they are very good at what they do, but their prices, event durations, and walking speeds are not the same as ours. Whenever possible, we go for a drink at the end of the route. You won't get a lecture on "French history" or "the history of a neighborhood" during a walk or hike. Instead, a printed guide with the history of the route will be given to you at the start of the outing. The primary goal is to chat and connect with people in the group who come from all walks of life and all over the world, while discovering a hidden exhibition, an unusual bar, an extraordinary pastry shop, a trompe-l'œil, listed shop signs, an uncommon museum, barely legible graffiti, an unexpected market, a forest, a farm... :-) We are an atypical group.
