Digley and the Pennine Way approx. 6-7 miles

Leave at 10:15am from Digley res South Car park near Holme. see pin above.

This is an undulating moorland walk with mostly rough uneven ground, including a couple of steep but short descents & ascents involving fords, on the Pennine way. Experience of this type of terrain would be good. See pics below.

Along Kirklees way, to snack van on Greenfield Rd,☕️☕️ Then Pennine way; Issues rd, Lane village, Fleece pub.🍻 about 7 miles.

It's likely to be muddy with slippery rocks & slabs. Boots recommended. Waterproofs, Fleece etc. Packed lunch with a hot drink is good.

Parking & Starting point.....
The walk starts from Digley Reservoir South car park. If this car park is full, try the Digley Reservoir North car park at the other side of the reservoir 10mins walk away.

Or Bus 314 to Holme is an alternative. See photo below. I'll be on the one arriving at Holme at 9:36am.

Dogs welome but on a short lead at all times please... due to moorland sheep around along with eagle eyed farmers!
