Wanted Dead or Alive, Halloween Costume Hike 2026!!

Here's one of our 'just for fun' hikes! Let's get it on the calendar.

\With the Butcher safely back in New York roaming the alleyways looking for his next victim, maybe the Smokies will be safer this year, just maybe. Just watch out for the bear, turkey, deer, salamanders, hikers that look like their in costumes, etc... Who knows what other gory creatures are lurking just off trail.

This is Halloween day, lets costume up and enjoy a stroll through the woods in the Smokies. These hikes are getting more and more fun as more and more hikers are getting into the Spirit of the Holiday and costuming up! This hike is about having fun! So, come on out and join us for the fun.

We will meet around the cabins (also known as Ghost Town) in Elkmont, up where the parking for Jakes Creek Trailhead is located.

Many of these cabins have been restored. Some may still be haunted by ghostly residents from the past. Just watch where you step and what you say. You don't want to anger the spirits.

We will take some pictures at the cabin before starting the hike.
Then we will walk up to the Little River Trail and walk the (2.4 miles to the joint with cucumber Gap trail. Then turnaround and hike back to Elkmont.

Let's keep the fun going;
Afterwards, we will head into Townsend for food and drinks at the Townsend Abbey (still in costume of course).
