Rock Creek Park - Meadowbrook Park/Boundary Bridge, Vigorous 5 Miles

This will be a more vigorous ~5 mile loop in Rock Creek Park averaging 3 miles per hour. We will start at Meadowbrook Local Park in Chevy Chase, MD and proceed to the Boundary Bridge and into DC on the Valley Trail, cross Beach Dr to the Pinehurst Branch Trail, and loop back to our starting point on the Western Ridge Trail. It’s a beautiful walk with some ups and downs and a few stream crossings. Meeting Point: Meadowbrook Local park can be reached via Meadowbrook Lane and has space for about 30 cars. There are usually a variety of kids sports happening in the park so arrive early to find parking. There is another small lot accessible via Beach Dr. that fits about 10 cars. Cross the bridge to reach the park. We will meet at the playground near the stone pavilion. Meeting Time: Plan to arrive at 8:15am so you will be able to meet everyone and sign the PATC waiver. Once the waiver is signed, we will begin the hike, departing on time at 8:30am.
