For our next session, we're modelling a startup fundraising platform. The full lifecycle: from the napkin idea at a Neuköln café to the pitch deck, the warm intro, the investor who ghosts after a "great meeting," the term sheet negotiation, the trip to the Notar, the wire transfer, and the board meeting where nobody understands the cap table.

We'll use Big Picture Event Storming to map out the domain, find clusters, draw bounded context boundaries, and discover where the language breaks down. (Spoiler: "valuation" means something completely different depending on who you ask.)

No prior fundraising experience required, though if you've raised, invested, or helped someone do either, your war stories are welcome. Especially the painful ones. Those make the best domain events.

What you'll practice:
Writing domain events (orange stickies, past tense, on the wall)
Identifying pivotal events and hotspots
Drawing bounded context boundaries
Spotting language divergence across contexts
Classifying subdomains (core, supporting, generic)

What to bring: Curiosity and opinions. We provide the stickies, markers, and wall space.

This is not a lecture. It's collaborative modelling: everyone participates, everyone contributes. You don't need to be a software engineer. Product people, designers, domain experts, founders, investors, lawyers - all perspectives make the model richer.

This is a hands-on workshop. Be prepared to participate fully and add to the energy of the room. Looking forward to seeing you there!
