🚪 Two Faces, One Doorway: An Evening of Threshold Poetry 🚪
Step through the doorway where endings and beginnings meet.
This month we honor Janus, the two-faced Roman god of doors, gates, and transitions—one face gazing back at the year behind us, the other fixed on the blank, unwritten calendar ahead. Bring a poem that lives on that threshold: verses of regret and hope, memory and possibility, farewell and anticipation.
Share a poem that has touched you or sparked your imagination. We welcome both ancient and modern poems—English originals or translations alike. Rhymed or free verse, sonnet or villanelle, haiku or epic—all forms and voices are celebrated here.
Whether you're carrying the weight of the old year or the wonder of the new, bring your words to the threshold. We'll hold space for both faces.
📅 Doors open (of course) at 7PM.
