Stadtwanderweg 3: From Schwarzenbergpark to Hameau

Hi everyone!

On Sunday, November 8, I am planning a hike through the Vienna Woods, following Vienna City Hiking Path 3 (Stadtwanderweg 3).

Expect a pleasant mix of forest paths, green landscapes, fresh air and good company!
Whether you are new to hiking or simply looking for a relaxed outdoor day with interesting people, you are very welcome to join us.

Hike Details

Distance: Approx. 10.5 km
Duration: Approx. 3–4 hours (walking time)
Elevation: Approx. 300 m elevation gain / 300 m descent
Difficulty: Easy to moderate – no technical hiking skills required, but basic fitness is recommended.
Pace: We’ll walk at a comfortable, social pace and take short breaks along the way.

Meeting Point & Travel
We will meet at the final stop of tram line 43 in Neuwaldegg.
Meeting time: 09:30a.m. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can gather before starting the hike.
The starting point and finishing point are the same, so everyone can easily return to the tram afterwards.

What to Bring

Comfortable hiking shoes or sturdy walking shoes
Weather-appropriate clothing
At least 1–1.5 litres of water
Some snacks for a short break
A rain jacket, depending on the weather
