Weekly Adult Recess Meetup! :D

Welcome, playful friend!!! :D We are so excited to welcome you in, for the first time or the 50th.

We meet by the basketball courts at Battery Park. There is a GroupMe. When you attend for the first time, ask to be added if you'd like. :)

This group started organically on a beautiful night in August of 2023 and is based on the premise that adults don't play enough. We gather for fun, goofiness, togetherness, exercise, inclusivity, and to shake the stress of the week off. All (adults) are welcome. If there are accessibility needs, let me know and we will do our best to accommodate to the best of our ability, noting that this has been an active space and movement is a big piece of why we show up.

Every week is different! Please bring a childlike spirit and any toys/games/balls you have available. No pressure to do so and you are welcome empty-handed. You may also want comfy clothes, shoes that you don't mind getting a little roughed up (or bare feet!), and a water bottle.

The dark doesn't bother us. :D If it's raining, sometimes we'll play in the rain, sometimes we'll shift to an indoor game night, sometimes we'll try out something new like a trampoline park.

Lower energy games that include passing a ball and answering random questions as we pass it.
