Fall Colors Ride Road Trip!

New date: apologies but due to a schedule conflict this ride is being pulled forward 1 week to Oct 10. Hope you can still join us!

Come join us for a laid back social ride, in which we hope to see some fall colors while riding a paved path through a forest just east of Park Ridge!

Any level rider is welcome, as we adjust rides to the interests & abilities of participants each time. (And as is typical of social rides, we will focus on enjoying the day, not setting any speed records!) We will ride as one group & not leave anyone behind. We only ask you bring a reliable bike and be capable of a moderate riding pace (~10mph) over a moderate distance (7.5 mi+).

For this ride we will venture a little beyond our usual Park Ridge riding area, meeting over at Miami Woods. As it is a good spot nearby where we can hop onto the North Branch Trail, which should provide ample opportunities to see some of the beauty of fall. We will ride up or down this trail, then plan to have light refreshments afterwards, back at our starting point.

Boiler-plate info:
(1) Bring a HELMET please. (2) Carry photo ID & phone for emergencies. (3) No earbuds/earphones, portable speakers only at low volume. (4) Plan ahead & bring anything else you may need like spare tire/pump, water bottle, rain poncho, sunscreen. (5) It is a day ride but lights and bright clothes are always advisable. (6) Check this Meetup day of ride in case of last minute changes or weather-related cancellations.

NOTE: All riders join at their own risk, acknowledging the inherent risks in bicycling, and your participation indicates your agreement to hold harmless event organizers, who make no warranties regarding this event nor assume any liability for your safety.
