What Moved You?
Five minutes. One thing. Whatever moved you.
No single book this time. Instead: you tell us what to read, watch, listen to
It’s the end of the year, it’s dark by six, and most of us are somewhere between tired and flat. So for our last gathering of 2026, everyone who wants to, can bring one thing that changed them, and gets five minutes to tell us why.
A book. A film. A poem. A song. An artist. A person who altered the direction of your life. It doesn’t have to be impressive and it absolutely doesn’t only have to be about food. It just has to have done something to you.
Five minutes each. No slides, no preparation beyond knowing what you want to say. Read a few lines, play thirty seconds of a song, pass a book around the table — whatever suits the thing you’re bringing.
The rules, such as they are:
Five minutes each. maximum.
Bring one thing, not five.
Tell us why it got you, not only what it’s about.
No judgement and no apologising for your choice.
Coming without presenting is completely fine as well — But honestly, the more people who share, the better this gets. And this is a safe space. That's a promise.
When you RSVP, tell me: whether you’re presenting or listening. I need the numbers to work out the running order.
This is also our last one at Onze Onze AND the last of the year. We started in February with twelve people in a bookshop and an organiser who warned me gently that it looked like nobody might turn up. Ten editions later, here we are. Come and end the year with the people who built it.
We will be back in 2027 with new books, new venues, and whatever we dream up over the holidays.

Going to Edition 10? Ask me anything about it.
I read the organiser's pages and answer in a few seconds.
