Join us for a challenging day hiking from Kochelsee over Sonnenspitz and Jochberg, with steep mountain trails, alpine scenery and spectacular views across both Kochelsee and Walchensee! 🌲🏔️ 🥾 Distance: approx. 16.9 km ⬆️ Elevation: approx. 1,030 m ⏱️ Hiking time: around 7 hours + breaks 🔴 Difficulty: Difficult 📍 Area: Kochelsee / Sonnenspitz / Jocheralm / Jochberg 🚆 Start & End: Kochel am See – Firma Dorst bus stop 🚆 Meeting: Munich Hauptbahnhof 🕘 Suggested times 07:40 – Meet at München Hbf 07:59 – 🚆 Regional train RB66 Towards Kochel (probably platform 28) Please bring: 🥾 Sturdy hiking boots 💧 At least 2 litres of water 🥪 Enough snacks and lunch 🧥 Weather-appropriate clothing ☀️ Sun protection ⚠️ Route warning: Komoot classifies this as a hard alpine hike and marks a short section as potentially dangerous. Very good fitness, sure-footedness and alpine experience are required. Parts of the trail are steep, root-covered and may become slippery when wet.
