🦖🎬 GODZILLA MINUS ZERO (IMAX FILM & SOCIAL)

🦕 It looks like the original King of the Monsters is heading back this way, and I’m pretty sure I know what that means. Now those Tinseltown imposter monsters can F off.

👋 Hey guys! And pardon my French, I just couldn’t resist the headline. You know, it just feels completely justified to see Japan’s original King of the Monsters push everything else aside for a change. And what makes Minus Zero particularly special is that it’ll be the first Toho Godzilla film to receive a near-simultaneous international release. As it should be.

This new entry is once again written and directed by the genius Takashi Yamazaki, who also returns to oversee the visual effects. Now pay attention, this is the official sequel to Godzilla Minus One, so please don’t confuse the two of them, as they are completely different movies.

This one picks things up in 1949, two years after the tumultuous events of Godzilla Minus One, and continues the story of the Shikishima family as they face an all-new catastrophe. Now, enough said. Let’s move on to the meetup! 🦖

THE MEETUP: If you’re a monster film enthusiast, we’ll most likely be watching this one in IMAX, with a few drinks and a catch-up before the film. Then afterwards, we’ll get together for a monstrous discussion, including our reviews and Letterboxd scores. Final details and exact times will be updated as we get closer to the release date, so keep a sharp eye on this page.
