Toronto Mastering the Art of Handcrafted Dumplings

I am hosting an afternoon for anyone who has ever wanted to move beyond frozen store-bought dumplings and learn the process of making them from scratch. We will be gathering in a kitchen space here in Toronto to walk through the entire craft, from mixing and rolling the dough to preparing savory fillings and mastering a few different folding techniques. Whether you are a total beginner or just looking to refine your pleating skills, this is a low-pressure environment meant for learning and sharing a meal together.

The goal for this session is to keep things relaxed and social while we work. We will spend the first part of the event prepping our ingredients and practicing our technique, and once the dumplings are steamed and pan-fried, we will sit down to eat what we have made. It is a great way to meet some new people in the city and pick up a useful skill in the process. Everything you need will be provided, so just bring yourself and an appetite.
