A river and country path walk taking in Stockport’s surrounding green and lush countryside.
Please wear suitable footwear with a good sole, as some of the paths are uneven and muddy in parts. Please no Crocs or sandals.
Walk finish to coincide with Pete Turner's Stockport social drinks on the same day

Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers, or on the platform at Manchester Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train, or at the Walk Start next to the main ticket office at Stockport station.

Transport to Walk Start: 13:14 train from Manchester Piccadilly

Suggested Ticket: Off Peak Day Return to Stockport £6.20

Waypoints: Ye Olde Vic, Edgeley, Hollywood Park, River Mersey, Burnage Rugby Club, Heaton Mersey Park and Bowl, Mersey Vale Nature Park, Didsbury Road, River Mersey, Stockport Interchange Bus Station, Stockport train Station

Return Services: Trains every 10 minutes back to Manchester
Extra: Toilets at Stockport station but no toilets en-route.
