Join Ecologist and Naturalist Dani Hall to celebrate autumn in Florida with an easy morning walk through the 245-acre Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. Fall is wildflower season, so we’ll explore the trails with the hope of spotting some seasonal blooms. Along the way, we'll enjoy the preserve's diverse habitats like pine flatwoods and sand pine scrub and keep an eye out for resident wildlife like gopher tortoises, native birds, and alligators.
Boyd Hill Nature Preserve 1101 Country Club Way South, St. Petersburg, FL 33705
We will meet at 9:00 a.m. sharp in front of the Visitor Center near the parking lot. The walk will last roughly 1.5 to 2 hours on easy, flat terrain.
Admission & Parking: There is plenty of free parking, but please note the preserve's daily entry fee: $3 for adults, $1.50 for kids ages 3–17, and free for kids under 3. Bring water, comfortable walking shoes, and your curiosity!
