How I Built It: With AI
Building a Production-Ready .NET 10 and Angular Reporting App in Just 120 Hours

What if you could build an application in a month that would normally take you a year?

That's exactly what I did—with a little help from AI.

Okay, "a little help" might be the understatement of the year.

In less than a month, with approximately 120 hours of work, I built a production-ready reporting application using .NET 10 and Angular, with features, functionality, and ease of use that rival commercial reporting tools like Power BI.

Using Claude Code and Fable 5.1, I was able to accomplish in weeks what I estimate would have taken close to a year to build on my own. But this wasn't simply a case of "vibe coding" my way to a finished product. I followed a deliberate development process that allowed me to take full advantage of AI while maintaining control over the architecture, quality, and direction of the application.

In this session, I'll show you how I built it.

We'll start with a live tour of the application, exploring its features and capabilities. Then we'll dive into the development process itself: how I approached the project, structured my work, wrote prompts, collaborated with AI, and worked through the challenges along the way.

Rather than just showing what's possible with AI, I'll share the practical techniques, workflows, and lessons learned that you can apply to your own development projects.

Come see what I built, how I built it, and how you can make AI a more effective part of your own development process.
