Autumn Hike in Kamakura

Autumn is here and the hills around Kamakura are changing colors.
On this hike, we’ll circle around the west side of Kamakura, visting beautiful temples, climbing the western ridge for great views and finishing our trip at the best onsen of Kamakura to watch the sunset.
Starting at Kamakura Station we will follow the iconic Komachi Street, after which we will visit the mysterious Jufukuji then climb Mt. Genji for a great view of Mt. Fuji.
From there er we visit the famous Zeniari-Benten and Sasuke Inari Shrines.
From here we will enter the Daibutsu-Hiking-Course to go down south in the direction of Gokurakuji, one of the most beautiful areas of Kamakura.
Next stops are Joju-in and Goryo Shrine before will reach the end point of the hike, Cape Inamuragaseki.

This hike is a great choice for anyone interested in Kamakura’s rich past. While the trail is occasionally narrow, it’s not particularly challenging, making for an enjoyable and immersive walk.

After the hike, those who wish can visit the nearby onsen to unwind in a hot bath while viewing the sunset.
No participation fee is charged for this event. However, there are some small fees to enter various temples.

秋が訪れ、鎌倉周辺の丘は色づき始めています。
今回のハイキングでは、鎌倉の西側を一周し、美しい寺院を巡り、西側の尾根を登って絶景を楽しみ、最後は鎌倉随一の温泉で夕日を眺めながら旅を締めくくります。
鎌倉駅から出発し、鎌倉を象徴する小町通りを歩き、その後、神秘的な寿福寺を訪れた後、源氏山に登って富士山を一望します。

そこから、有名な銭洗弁財天と佐助稲荷神社を訪れます。
ここから「大仏ハイキングコース」に入り、鎌倉で最も美しいエリアの一つである極楽寺方面へと南下します。
次の立ち寄り先は成就院と御霊神社で、その後、ハイキングの終点である稲村ヶ崎に到着します。

このハイキングは、鎌倉の豊かな歴史に興味のある方にとって絶好の選択肢です。道幅が狭い箇所もところどころありますが、特に難所というわけではなく、楽しく没入感のある散策が楽しめます。

ハイキングの後、ご希望の方は近くの温泉に立ち寄り、夕日を眺めながら温かいお湯に浸かってリラックスすることもできます。
このイベントの参加費は無料です。ただし、各寺院への入場料として少額の費用がかかります。
